human body? Can anyone please tell me what site I can explore to find the human body and the bodily organs and what each organ do for the body. I need to print this out to show my class.
How would a dead human body decompose in space compared to on earth? would no gravity play a factor? Physiology teaches us that the human body is made up of four elements: carbon C, oxygen O, hydrogen H and nitrogen N. In plain chemical language this means that our body consists of carbon dioxide COO and ammonia NHHH, in which at the same time the elements of water HHO and oil CHH are contained, all of which are capable of evaporation and combustion. We all know what happens on earth but how would a none-gravity environment play into effect. Would it pro-long us or make us vanish faster.
What chemical changes does the human body go through in the first fourteen days after death? I am writing a story in which the principal character regularly handles dead bodies. Part of the plot premise depends on trying to alter the course of chemical changes the body goes through in the first weeks after death. But my college physiology courses were kind of hit-or-miss on post-mortem issues. If you have any books, links, or information about the changes the human body goes through in the first fourteen days after death I would be very appreciative and you would get ten extra points!
How does the human body digest food when in space? The human body always digest food with the help from gravity to keep the food down but in space how? How does food is digested if the food u eat floats in your stomach? If possible can u please send a link about this question?
Does the human body actually require meat? I've been a vegetarian for a month now... I have many reasons, like the cruelty to animals and the health benefits and what not. I'm wondering if the human body actually needs meat? I know it needs protein, I get enough of that from other foods. But does it actually need meat?
Is it possible for the human body to adapt to a plethora of synthetic chemicals in everyday life? The argument that environmentalists and toxophobics bring out is that the human body has not evolved with the numerous synthetic chemicals around. Thus the human body either has a very difficult time processing them or does not get rid of them at all and therefore we are all cancer time bombs unless we switch to all natural and organic products. However, other sources say that the liver is already efficient at filtering substances, and that the immune system is equipped to handle "alien chemicals". And many natural chemicals can be just as bad. What do you guys think?
What if a marching band was like a human body? Alright. Say a marching band is like a human body. If the drumline is the "heart" of the marching band, what body organs do you think the other groups in the band correspond to? Here are a few to think about: drum major, colorguard, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, mellophone, baritone, tuba, and front ensemble (pit). If there are more, feel free to add on. Use your imagination!
How is the human body able to be so accurate at telling time? I've always found that I have a clear time in my mind that I want to wake up then I will naturally wake up at that time plus or minus a few minutes without the use of an alarm. Even if the times are completely different from day to day. I don't think I'm the only one who's noticed this I remember in famous five books the kids used to hit there head on the pillow for example 7 times if they wanted to wake up at 7. How is the human body able to be so accurate in telling time?
What is the strongest muscle in the human body? I've heard different muscles, I've heard people say that it's the tongue, I've heard the hamstrings, I've heard also the gluteus maximus(butt)? Which muscle is the strongest in the human body?
How many arteries and nerves in the human body? What is the number of arteries and nerves that are commonly found in the human body. Each has a name and then branch off into smaller vessels to the capillaries so there must be a specifc amount.
How much water is in the average human body? I am performing a persuasion speech for my COM135 class at MUohio. I am wanting to start off with an attention getter by showing the class, in physical form, how much water is in the average human body. Please give sources if you have any. I would appreciate it. THANX!
Does the human body contain a natural buffer that controls weight to a certain extent? I think I recall hearing in college that the human body contains a natural buffer that controls weight fluxuation to an extent. In other words, if you overeat slighly, the body can prevent you from gaining too much weight. However, if you grossly overeat on a regular basis, then the buffer is ineffective and you will gain a ton of weight. Is this true?
What is the best software to help understand the human body? Hi, I am looking for software that can visually teach me about the various parts, functions, systems etc of the human body. I have a very keen interest in human biology, but am not a medical student. What is considered to be the best software package for this?
Can a human body passes through a wall? Can a human body passes through a wall? According to Einstein's research, he said that human particles are smaller than the wall particles. So, in a slow velocity. Human body could pass through the wall. Is this true?? Do you think it will happened? In what condition? Thanks!
Is it possible to convert human body fat to a biofuel to power diesel vehicles? If it is possible, we could kill two birds with one stone. We could get the federal government to subsidize liposuction, and then render the waste human fat into biodiesel. We could then assist in alleviating the nation's obesity problem with subsidized liposuction, and/or pay contributors for their body fat. Would it/could it work?
How much heat does the Human body put into the atmosphere? The Human body maintains a constent temperature, can that not be converted to the BTU in a period certian? Say a 24 hour day??? Does it matter that I just ate and apple if I don't care how much heat the apple produced? I can not imagain that this is that hard a question.
How to get friend over her hatred of the human body? My friend Johanna hates the human body. I tell her she has a beautiful body but she ignores my compliments. What should/can I do to get her over her hatred of the human body? Virgoprincess: Nope. She does not hate her body. She hates the human body. She thinks it is disgusting.
Is there a reason why hair grows in the human body? (is it phosphorous excretion mechanism)? If so, why cant I use my hair like a match to strike a fire? Why do all human beings do not grow same length hair in the same body regions? Some have short hair some have long hair distributed in different areas of human body? Is it there to create air traction (landing points) for "nothing but air"?
How many electrons are in a human body? Hi, I've just started learning about Coulumb's Law, and for a problem, I need to know the approximate number of electrons in a human body. I don't have much chemistry background, so a simple answer will suffice-- it doesn't have to be 100% accurate. Thanks in advance.
How does natural selection account for the symmetry of the human body? In a typical human , the following similarities may be quickly discerned: The corresponding fingers of each hand (on the OPPOSITE side of the body) are roughly identical in length and shape; the same relationship exists concerning the size and shape of the hands, arms, shoulders, ribs, legs, knees, ankles, feet, toes, eyes, ears, and nostrils. Additionally, the eyes and ears are located in the same relative positions on both sides of the face. Also, the corresponding teeth in the upper and lower jaw are roughly identical in structure. What accounts for this symmetry?
What is the specific heat capacity of the human body? I know that the specific heat capacity of water is 4186J/kgK and I'm interested if the specific heat capacity of the human body is smaller or bigger of that. The body should be thermal insulator and should therefore have a bigger specific heat capacity.
What is the affect of drinking poluted water in the human body? I'm doing a project on the effect of water in the human body and need to know this information, along with any other information you might know or find on the internet. sources for your information would be awesome, thanks! ^_^ Oh and, is bottled water better than from the tap? This is me doing my homework, Miss. I've already found most of the information but these are still keeping themselves from websites. Haven't you ever heard of asking your superiors for information to help with a project? This most certainly is the case.
What is the ULTIMATE JOY of the Human body? Human has been in quest for the full human contentment. Yet this is elusive meaning there's no lasting joy a person can have. Joy (from different source) gradually fades and then another ups and down of human emotion, from joy to sadness to, etc. And because of this, what do you think is the ultimate joy such a human body can feel and experience?
Why does the human body store fat endlessly? Why isn't there a mechanism that determins when enough fat has been stored before it becomes unhealthy. I mean, if I want to fill my gas tank more than capacity, the gas will squirt out of the tank. But the human body is like a gas tank which would grow the more as you put more gas. It would be stupid to design a small car with a gas tank the size of a train. Nature should've predicted this. Reply to silver_princ..., REMOVE your answer NOW, or else I will post insults and put-downs on all your future questions. Also, you've been reported and I will report all your future answers and questions. You're STUPID and you assume things about me. I'm NOT fat, just curious about this fact of the human body. Some Ass_holes like you cannot answer a question without attacking the questioner. Please fall off a cliff and make us all happy.
What is the worldwide total weight of human body fat that McDonalds is directly reponsible for? My guess: N America 300million x 5pounds S America 500milion x 2pounds Europe 700million x 3pounds Asia 3,500million x 1pound Africa 200million x 0.1pounds Which gives a total of 8,120million pounds or about 3,500,000 tonnes of human body fat! Anybody got a better guess? I feel when a company targets children then the company has to accept some responsibilty for the effect. Free toys and a funny clown - I don't think it is fair to call the children stupid for falling for the barrage of advertising they are subjected to. Once you have them hooked then it becomes 'normal'. Please think of the children - they are our future.
What is it in humans that cause such revulsion in seeing the inside of the human body? Most people are sickend by blood or gore, and they think it "gross" to see the organs of the human body or excessive blood. Most would never think of observing a surgery or an autopsy. What is it in the human psyche that causes this reaction? I work in the medical field, and this stuff has never really bothered me. I don't particularly like gore for gore's sake, but I have been called upon from time-to-time to see it, and I always thought the human body was fascinating. Any thoughts or comments? Legitimate answers, only, please. Let's hear from doctors, psychologists, psychaitrists - not the Marilyn Manson "Goth" types out there. I would like this treated as a legitimate medical inquiry. Thanks.
Who discovered that the DNA structure of the human body was a double helix and when? I'm looking for Who discovered it? What clarified their findings? When they discovered it? Where they discovered it? How they arrived at the conclusion that the DNA of the human body was in a double helix structure? and last but not least...Why could they not be wrong in their findings? or were their findings just unproven theoretical computations that someone pushed forward to fill in the blank questionable areas in science that man had no answers for? I ask these questions because I have a theory that expands the possibilities of the HUMAN DNA...instead of a double helix DNA...that it might be a triple helix DNA... If you have any questions about why I think that there is a possibility of a Triple Helix... instead of a Double Helix...write me and I'll answer...(RNDMRRS@YAHOO.COM)
What routes the nerves in the human body? I've read that it is estimated that the human body has about 100 billion nerves, each of which follows a prescribed pathway, more or less. If the human genome contains only 3 billion codons, how can they possibly specify nerve geometry? And if they don't, what does? Something must, for if we compared the nervous systems of two people, we'd probably find 98% nervous homology.
