What are some good topic ideas for the body of a five paragraph essay regarding an event?
Okay so the jist is that I have to write a five paragraph essay. 1. Introduction 2. Body Paragraph One 3. Body Paragraph Two 4. Body Paragraph Three 5. Conclusion My subject is under an event and that is my summer vacation to California. Firstly, I just want to know if this topic is too broad? I want to be able to get into detail as much as possible, as so the teacher says... What I need help is what should the 3-part body be about? She implies when writing in the body, it has to be in detail to the 5 senses. Touch, sight, hear, smell and taste. Plus I even have to come up with a good thesis statement also. I'm kinda stumped on getting ideas. Any suggestions?

- What you saw and how it was different from where you live What you did (go by each day to fill in) your favorite parts (relish in details)
- You most definitely have to narrow down what you mean by "summer vacation to California". What did you do there? How long was the journey? What'd you see on the way? When you were there, how was the weather? Were the people nice? Did you have any problems/troubles? Anything interesting or out of the ordinary happen to you? All of those questions can be used for one of the paragraphs, and you would just elaborate on it. Also, try to make it chronological...journey/road trip (if you did that) on the way there, things you saw/did, what did you do once you were there, was it fun, activities, etc etc, then for your conclusion summarize what you've learned from this experience, etc....Just try writing with some basic plan, and I promise you, just think hard, and the words will flow.
