What are the benefits of electricity to the Human body?

Like when they jump start your heart. Can electricity be used in more ways to help the human body in some way? How does it effect the body's electrolytes? How would an electric "boost" effect the human mind/brain?

2. well they use electricity during brain surgery to stimulate sections of your brain...
3. i dont think they have any effect in your body's electrolytes...and they are not used to jumpstart your heart..actually electricity is used to stop a heart beating Too fast that it isnt pumping blood efficiently so that they could restart it again (yes, dont believe what you see on tv). ASide from defibrillating your heart, there's what you call TENs, transcutaneous electrical stimulator that could cause muscle contractions so that the muscle no being used (due to any injusy) would not atrophy (grow smaller). Also, there's ECT, Electro-convulsibve therapy...they kinda like fry your brain when all the other antipsychotic medications wont work. theres still a lot more use for electricity

The heart attack shock is used because the victim's hearts electrical system has gone haywire and is not firing in correct order. They use the shock to actually stop the heart so that it can "reboot". Medical quakes have been selling electrical stimulation for years, most are dangerous. There are devices that are used to stimulate muscle movement but the amperage is very very low. Your body produces substances, like serotonin, to "boost" the brain. They make it easier for your bodies own electrical system to function well.
