How do oil spills affect the human body?

I am doing a science project on oil spills. I have gotten most of the information. I need how it affects the human body,the source, the affect on the surrounding environment, how it enters the human body (from cell-to tissue-to organ-to organ system-to the entire body, the result of the pollutant, long term affects. I know that is a lot but there is much more that I already know. So if anyone could help me with this information it would be greatly appreciated.
